Arctic Expedition for Climate Action

One hundred leaders of government and business including President Jimmy Carter, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Meg Whitman (CEO of e-bay), and Larry Page (founder of Google) returned in mid-July from an extraordinary expedition to the Arctic. On their return, they issued a call for action on climate change: The Spirit of Endeavor Statement was the result of a nearly two-year collaboration between CA-CP, Lindblad Expeditions, National Geographic and the Aspen Institute. This partnership culminated in the Arctic Expedition for Climate Action to learn about the changes being wrought in this fragile wilderness and to discuss effective ways to craft a bi-partisan and broad-based response to the problem in the U.S.

Lindblad Expeditions on a Journey toward Climate Sustainability

National Geographic Endeavour encounters polar bear on sea ice.Working with Clean Air-Cool Planet, Lindblad Expeditions has launched a Climate Change Action Plan to reduce its own carbon footprint while encouraging others to "join the conversation" on global warming. Lindblad, a leader in sustainable tourism, adopted a carbon reduction plan that includes measurement, carbon offsets and policy components. Read more.
