Warming's Impact on Indigenous Communities

As the Arctic warms, Arctic communities are affected economically and culturally. Indigenous peoples will be affected at the top of the food chain not only because of shifting Caribou and reindeer pollutions but because of changing fish stocks, aquatic mammals and waterfowl. Moreover, as the seasons shift towards shorter winters, buildings, roads, pipelines and airports are all destabilized. Indigenous communities also face substantial health challenges.
