The Nordic Council is a forum comprised of the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden that was created to address common interests among member states, except those dealing with defense.
The Nordic Council of Ministers is a Scandinavian political organization comprised of following Nordic states: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. It was created in 1971 as an amendment to the Helsinki Convention.
